Reverse the visible signs of ageing with dermal fillers
As we mature, we lose volume in our face. This then leads to wrinkles, folds, hollowness and sagging. Dermal fillers are one of the most popular and effective treatments to reverse these signs and can easily correct this loss of volume and offer a much more youthful appearance.
How dermal fillers work
Dermal fillers are a non-invasive option to restore a more youthful appearance and volume to the face, especially the lips, chin, cheeks, jawline, area under the eyes and nose. In certain cases, dermal fillers can also be used to reduce the visibility and improve the appearance of scars. Dermal fillers work solely on the area of muscle receiving the injection, which allows the surrounding muscles to function as normal. This assists in the normal function of facial expressions, avoiding the ‘expressionless’ look that has been criticised in the past.
Dermal fillers are increasingly used to reduce necklines and in the treatment of brow lifts to achieve a more youthful arched brow, which rounds and softens the eye.
Facial wrinkles
Static facial wrinkles are best treated with products called dermal fillers. At ICCM, we have a range of different types of treatments available, each with varying abilities and suitability.

Dermal fillers integrate homogeneously into the skin for immediate and long-term results that last between 9 to 36 months, depending on product People who smoke or are engaged in vigorous physical exercise programs usually enjoy a shorter period of time.
Do dermal fillers hurt?
The pain associated with the injections is minimal. Many patients describe it as an ant bite sting lasting for a few seconds. Treatment takes around 20 to 30 minutes, depending on the number of areas you want to treat. Local anaesthetic is used on the area treated, which decreases discomfort. After the injections, the area may be a little swollen, but this will subside after a day or two.

As the gel is composed of mostly water, the body accepts it quite naturally and as it is elastic, it allows for normal facial expression and a very natural look.
