Dr John McHugh

Degrees in Medicine, Dentistry and Environmental science. Dr John has fellowships in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from the royal college of surgeons, is a member of the Australian and New Zealand association of oral maxillofacial surgeons. He also has a fellowship in cosmetic surgery from the Australasian College of Cosmetic Surgery and diplomas from the Royal Colleges of Surgeons of England and Edinburgh.

Dr John is the secretary of the Australasian Society of Maxillofacial Surgeons.

He has edited various newsletters and clinical publications including a London based art and design magazine. He has had an association with the Chelsea School of Art by advising on various sculpture pieces and the arts/science interface with respected artist and Lecturer Edward Lipski.

Dr John’s initial experience of working with patients requiring reconstruction of facial injuries and post oncology resection as well as facial deformities inspired him to further explore cosmetic surgery where after he undertook further studies in general cosmetic surgery and gained extensive experience in :
